Ronda, Málaga, 2008. There is now less than a month to go before the professionals from the winegrowing sector attend this eagerly-awaited event. On the 18th and 19th of April 2008, in the town of Ronda, in the province of Malaga, Winecreator will gather together the best-known critics from the sector, in addition to the world's best wine creators.

A Meeting designed to bring together under the same roof the crème de la crème of the international wine sector in order to delve into current trends in style in the world of wine, and its differentiating character. This event has been taking shape over the last few months, and today has become a great international occasion offering all professionals in the field the opportunity to taste, get to know and discuss with the "top experts" the quality and diversity of wine on an international level.

The advisory committee is made up of Jancis Robinson, Honorary President of the First Meeting, Michel Bettane, the Spanish journalists Víctor de la Serna and José Peñín. In addition to the committee members, the WineCreator Panel of Experts includes: Stephen Tanzer, David Schildknecht, John Radford, Charles Metcalfe, Robert Joseph, Joel B.Payne, Bob Campbell, Michael Fridjhon, James Halliday, Peter Moser, Eleonora Scholes, Rodolfo Gerschman, Pierre Casamayor, Joshua Greene, Bernard Burtschy and Ernesto Gentili.

The chosen oenologists and wine creatorsare Ales Kristancic, Paul Draper, Ricardo Cotarella, Álvaro Palacios, Peter Sisseck, Stephane Derenoncourt, Carlo Ferrini, Jean-Claude Berrouet, Michel Rolland, Dirk Niepoort, Denis Dubourdieu and Olivier Humbrecht.

This will be an eminently international event, and it will be held every two years in different countries around the world.

Winecreator is no longer just a project, but a real event inviting all professionals from the world of wine to immerse themselves in the Meeting and become part of this select group of experts.

Note to the Editor: The development team from the wine growing and making project La Melonera and Grupo Peñín have organised Winecreator, the 1st International Meeting of Wine Creators. 16 of the most renowned wine critics from the international scene, together with the world’s top wine creators, chosen by this very journalists, will meet face-to-face.
